It’s time to say goodbye to the “happy new year” posts… since most sites will be back to the episode-blogging days pretty soon. The winter 2008 season officially starts for me tomorrow with H2O ~FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND~. Other shows I’m looking forward to are true tears, Spice and Wolf, Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de, Hatenkou Yuugi… and that’s it, I guess.

A few notes:
Back when I started watching Air TV, I knew nothing about Key/KyoAni. I wanted to see a sad anime show, so someone recommended that series to me. In the end, I had enjoyed it so much that I began looking for something similar… and that’s when I found out about Kanon 2006.

From the first episode, with the 10 minute talk about food, you’ll immediately notice this is no ordinary slice-of-life anime series. This special “structure” has turned Lucky * Star into a hit-or-miss among the audience. I, personally, loved this show for its lovable cast, light comedy, anime/manga/videogame references and for the “oh, this has happened to me IRL” factor.
To show us how disastrous fun and exciting schooltime can turn out to be, TNK decided to make an adaptation of School Days, an eroge which popularity pretty much is derived from its gory bad-endings.

Makoto: Magnet for disaster and dumb girls.
That’s right, in the School Days game, if you screw up badly, you could end in one of the following bloody situations:
Now, I’m not sure why they’re called bad endings since all of the main characters really deserve to be dead, not just Makoto. I’ve never played the game, but after having watched the anime, I can safely say this is one of the worst harem cast I’ve ever seen.
